The Colour Nation sells one of a kind homewares lovingly handmade in London for a design conscious crowd. All our products are made from beautiful West African Ankara fabrics in a riot of colour, sourced from London's markets by The Colour Nation team.
The Colour Nation was born out of a desire to throw out the rulebook in favour of unique, affordable homewares. Our first collection is called Kirike, named after a little known language from Nigeria's Niger Delta. Pieces take their name from the only existing Kirike-English dictionary, written by Levi Sika, a late Nigerian scholar and grandfather of The Colour Nation's founder.
Our dream at The Colour Nation is to bring together British makers with up-and-coming print designers from Africa and the rest of the world. One day we will make everything, from wallpaper to upholstered furniture.
Until then, check out our Pinterest page and blog to see what inspires us and sign up to our newsletter for updates on new products and collections.
